Special Weather Statement issued April 24 at 3:11PM EDT by NWS Indianapolis IN

At 311 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Greenwood, or 11 miles south of Indianapolis, moving northeast at 20
mph.

HAZARD…Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Greenwood, Southport, Homecroft, and Indianapolis.

This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 99 and 100.
