Advisory for the following rivers in Arkansas…Mississippi…

Mississippi River at Helena

For the Lower Mississippi River…including Helena…elevated river
levels are forecast.

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Mississippi River at Helena.

* WHEN…From this afternoon to early Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 43.0 feet, In Arkansas, the road to the landing east
of downtown Helena, Arkansas, begins to flood. In Mississippi,
places along the bank of the southwest side of Desoto Lake are
flooding. Facilities along the river north of Friars Point,
Mississippi, are flooding.
At 44.0 feet, In Arkansas, the road to the landing east of
downtown Helena is flooded. In Mississippi, the cabin areas east
of Desoto Lake are flooding. Industries north of Friars Point,
Mississippi, are flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 2:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 43.99 feet and falling.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below action stage
on Tuesday, April 29.
– Action stage is 40.0 feet.
– Flood stage is 44.0 feet.
