Meteorological Summary:
 
  • Dense Fog Advisories will remain in effect along portions of the Panhandle through the mid-morning hours this morning as areas of dense fog reduce visibilities to ¼ mile or less at times.

  • A few isolated showers and thunderstorms may be possible across the state this afternoon and evening with the help of the sea breezes; otherwise, mostly dry conditions and mostly to partly cloudy skies are expected (near 0-15% chance of rain).

  • High temperatures in the middle 80s to middle 90s; Locally cooler temperatures possible along the East Coast and coastal Florida Panhandle.

  • Easterly to southeasterly winds will reach near 5-15 mph with gusts near 10-20 mph.
  • Sensitive to elevated wildfire conditions will persist along the Peninsula this afternoon and evening.

  • Mandatory Burn Bans remain in effect for Brevard, Charlotte, Collier, Flagler, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Lake, Lee, Okeechobee, Orange, Pasco, Polk, Sarasota, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia counties.
  • Moderate to high risk for rip currents along the East Coast and Florida Panhandle.
  • Low temperatures in the 60s overnight with low to middle 70s along Southeast Florida and the Keys.

  • Areas of patchy to dense fog possible across the state overnight into Saturday morning
