Special Weather Statement issued April 25 at 8:58PM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC

At 857 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 5 miles south of Clayton to
10 miles north of Cleveland. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Mountain City, Mountain Rest, Pine Mountain, Clayton, Tiger, Lake
Burton, Seed Lake, Lakemont, Oconee State Park, and Black Rock
Mountain State Park.
