* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE…A portion of southwest Oklahoma, including the following
counties, Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Kiowa and Tillman.
* WHEN…Until noon CDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. It
will take several hours for all the water from these storms to
work through local drainage systems in urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 806 PM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding
continuing to occur in the warned area. Between 4 and 8
inches of rain have fallen.
– Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Lawton, Frederick, Walters, Cache, Elgin, Apache, Snyder,
Geronimo, Fletcher, Cyril, Grandfield, Temple, Sterling,
Cement, Chattanooga, Randlett, Mountain Park, Medicine Park,
Indiahoma and Manitou.
