The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
Eastern Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico…

* Until 800 PM MDT.

* At 728 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located 24 miles southeast of Elkins, or 43 miles east
of Roswell, moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD…Tornado and golf ball size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught
without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or
destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will
occur. Tree damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include…
Mainly rural areas of Eastern Chaves County.

This includes Highway 380 between Mile Markers 193 and 199.
