Special Weather Statement issued April 28 at 2:10PM CDT by NWS Tallahassee FL

At 209 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Eglin Air Force Base, or 9 miles southwest of De Funiak Springs. The
strong thunderstorm is nearly stationary.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
New Home, Eglin Air Force Base, and Rock Hill.
