* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…A portion of Puerto Rico, including the following
counties, Guanica, Sabana Grande and Yauco.
* WHEN…Until 1100 PM AST.
* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are
inundated with water and may not be passable. It will take several
hours for all the water from these storms to work through local
drainage systems in urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 802 PM AST, emergency management reported portions of
roads PR-332 in Guanica, between Barrio Sausa Abajo and
Barrio Cano, and PR-121 in Barrio Sausa, Sabana Grande,
temporary closed due to flood waters from Rio Loco. Between 4
and 6 inches of rain have fallen upstream. No additional rain
is expected.
