Special Weather Statement issued April 29 at 6:38PM EDT by NWS State College PA

At 550 PM EDT, a fast moving line of severe thunderstorms extended
from near Tyrone to Altoona, moving east northeast at 65 mph.

Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea to dime size hail are
probable should the line weaken slightly. If the line of storms
maintains its strength, damaging wind gusts of 60 to 70 mph would
be likely in this large bowing line.

The gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

If outdoors, or in campgrounds, plan to seek shelter inside a
sturdy building until this line of storms passes.

The storms may maintain their current strength or intensify
slightly, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and
available television stations for additional information and
possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT
for Mifflin County in Central Pennsylvania.
