…The National Weather Service in Tulsa OK has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Oklahoma…

Illinois River near Tahlequah affecting Cherokee County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Illinois River near Tahlequah.

* WHEN…From Thursday afternoon to early Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 11.0 feet, minor flooding occurs from near Hanging
Rock downstream towards Tahlequah. Floating the river is too
hazardous due to strong turbulence.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 6.8 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Thursday afternoon to a crest of 11.5 feet early Friday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage Friday morning.
– Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.
