Special Weather Statement issued May 1 at 5:36AM CDT by NWS Lake Charles LA

At 536 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Buhler, or near Sulphur, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
objects is possible.

Locations impacted include…
Westlake, Lacassine, Fenton, Iowa, Buller, Topsy, Moss Bluff, Lebleu
Settlement, Gillis, Lake Charles, and Sulphur.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 26 and 51.
Interstate 210 between mile markers 11 and 12.
