Flood Warning issued May 1 at 8:22PM CDT until May 4 at 9:24PM CDT by NWS Norman OK

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Oklahoma…Texas…

Red River near Terral affecting Clay, Love, Montague and
Jefferson Counties.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Red River near Terral.

* WHEN…Until late Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 26.0 feet, Crop and range lands… pecan groves and
rural roads are affected. Agricultural levees begin to overtop
when the river stages rise above 23 feet. Though not flooded…
some areas at the edge of the flood plain may be isolated by high
water in side channels. Bottomlands near Charlie Texas begin to
flood several hours before the crest reaches Terral Oklahoma…
with flooding reaching the Illinois bend area near Leon Oklahoma
several hours later.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 26.2 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 22.0 feet.
– Forecast…The Red River is expected to rise to a crest of
26.5 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood
stage Sunday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
