Special Weather Statement issued May 1 at 9:26PM CDT by NWS Amarillo TX

At 925 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles west of Panhandle, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
White Deer, Panhandle, Pantex, and Amarillo.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 84 and 109.
