Special Weather Statement issued May 2 at 7:05PM EDT by NWS Jackson KY

At 705 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Mize to Wonnie to Stringtown to Dotson.
Movement was northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Pilgrim, Moon, Oaklawn Estates, Florress, Davella, Lick Branch,
Falcon, Whitehouse, Wonnie, Burning Fork, Collista, West Van Lear,
Panama, Williamsport, Milo, Gillem Branch, Redbush, Relief, Swamp
Branch, and Ever.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS…
Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway between mile markers 75 and 76.
Kentucky Highway 3 in Floyd County between mile markers 1 and 4.
Kentucky Highway 3 in Johnson County Kentucky Highway 3 in Martin
County between mile markers 1 and 9.
U.S. Highway 23 in Floyd County between mile markers 16 and 21.
U.S. Highway 23 in Johnson County between mile markers 0 and 16.
