Flood Warning issued May 2 at 4:37PM AST until May 3 at 1:30AM AST by NWS San Juan PR

Rio Rosario, Rio Duey and other tributaries of Rio Guanajibo are
close or have reached flood stage. These waters will eventually make
it to the main stream, causing road flooding.

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Along Rio Guanajibo and its tributaries in Cabo Rojo,
Hormigueros, Mayaguez and San German.

* WHEN…Until 130 AM AST Saturday.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 437 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.
