Special Weather Statement issued May 2 at 10:11PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC

At 1011 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Cary, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Creedmoor, Louisburg, Wake
Forest, Garner, Clayton, and Butner.
