Special Weather Statement issued May 3 at 4:23PM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL

At 423 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Yulee, or near Fernandina Beach, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts around 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
High Point, Talbot Island, Fernandina Beach, Dungeness, Cumberland
Island, Yulee, and Amelia City.
