Whitfield County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Coahulla Creek at Keiths Mill Road near Dalton.

* WHEN…From this morning to late tonight.

* IMPACTS…At 16.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. Pasture and fields
upstream…right and left bank from the Keiths Mill Road bridge…
and downstream on the left bank begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:00 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 16.4 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:00 AM EDT Sunday was 16.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
this evening and continue falling to 6.5 feet early Tuesday
morning.
– Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
16.4 feet on 08/19/2021.

At 442 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4 miles southwest of Stoneville, or 39 miles southwest of Faith. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern Meade County.
