Flood Watch issued May 5 at 4:02PM AKDT until May 7 at 12:00PM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK

* WHAT…Flooding caused by an ice jam continues to be possible.

* WHERE…Yukon River at Ft. Yukon

* WHEN…Through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS…Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– The breakup front has reached 15 miles downstream of Circle
as of 1PM Monday.

– The top of the ice run made it past Circle early this
afternoon, with just light ice observed upstream.

– The breakup front is expected to reach Ft. Yukon early
Tuesday morning with the possibility of ice jamming occuring
downstream, just above 6 mile island.
