URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 230 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 325 AM CDT Tue May 6 2025 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of West-Central and North-Central Texas * Effective this Tuesday morning from 325 AM until 1000 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter possible Isolated damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...At least isolated severe storms are expected to expand east-northeastward across parts of the Low Rolling Plains toward North-central/central Texas. Large hail will be the primary hazard overnight, with locally damaging winds also possible. Tornado potential should increase into central Texas/I-35 vicinity later this morning. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70 statute miles north and south of a line from 60 miles north northwest of San Angelo TX to 55 miles north of Austin TX.
