Special Weather Statement issued May 6 at 5:30AM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX

At 530 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles south of Maverick, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Winters, Norton, Glen Cove, Benoit, Lake Coleman, Ballinger, Hatchel,
Miles, Voss, Maverick, Crews, Silver Valley, Goldsboro, Valera, Lake
Winters Lake, Ballinger Lake, Novice, Talpa, Rowena, and Hords Creek
Reservoir.
