Special Weather Statement issued May 6 at 6:22PM CDT by NWS New Orleans LA

At 622 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Roseland, or near Amite, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Kentwood, Greensburg, Osyka, Roseland, Amite, Tangipahoa,
Franklinton, Amite City, Mount Herman, and Wilmer.

This includes Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 47 and
65.
