following rivers in Texas…

Neches River Near Alto affecting Houston, Anderson, Trinity and
Cherokee Counties.

For the Neches River…including Lake Palestine, Neches, Alto,
Diboll, Rockland…Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Neches River near Alto.

* WHEN…Until further notice.

* IMPACTS…At 18.0 feet, Expect moderate to severe flooding of the
heavily wooded floodplain. Boat ramps and picnic areas will be
completely inundated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 17.9 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:15 PM CDT Tuesday was 17.9 feet.
– Forecast…The Neches River southwest of Alto is expected to
rise to a crest of 18.0 feet tomorrow morning.
– Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
18.0 feet on 02/10/1975.
