For the Connecticut River…including Montague, Northampton, Holyoke
Dam, Holyoke, Springfield, Thompsonville, Hartford, Middle Haddam…
Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Connecticut River at Middle Haddam.

* WHEN…Until late Friday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 8.0 feet, Flooding is expected in low lying sections
along the Connecticut River from Wethersfield and Glastonbury
downstream through Cromwell, Middletown and Portland. Boating
interests should prepare for a period of swift river flows.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:55 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 7.3 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river will remain above flood stage with a
maximum value of 7.7 feet late this evening. It will fall
below flood stage early Friday morning.
