Special Weather Statement issued May 7 at 5:13AM CDT by NWS Corpus Christi TX

At 512 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Malaquite Beach, or 20 miles south of Corpus Christi, moving east at
25 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Padre Balli Park, Packery Channel, and Malaquite Beach.
