Special Weather Statement issued May 7 at 5:25AM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX

At 524 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Schicke Point, or 9 miles southwest of Palacios,
moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Matagorda, southwestern Bay City, Palacios, South Texas Nuclear
Plant, Olivia, Blessing, Markham, Schicke Point, Port Alto,
Wadsworth, and Midfield.
