Special Weather Statement issued May 7 at 6:09AM EDT by NWS Charleston SC

An area of dense fog has developed across portions of Berkeley and
Charleston counties this morning. The worst of the fog will impact
an area from around Jamestown and McClellanville, to Daniel
Island, Mount Pleasant, North Charleston, Downtown Charleston,
West Ashley, Johns Island, and James Island. Visibilities will be
reduced to a quarter of a mile or less at times in these areas.
The fog will produce hazardous travel conditions this morning, but
conditions should begin to improve by around 9 am.
