Special Weather Statement issued May 7 at 6:32PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL

At 632 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
DeLand Airport, or 7 miles northeast of Lake Helen, moving southeast
at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Deltona, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, DeLand, and New Smyrna Beach.
