Flood Advisory issued May 8 at 3:40PM EDT until May 8 at 6:45PM EDT by NWS Indianapolis IN

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Portions of central, south central, and west central
Indiana, including the following counties, in central Indiana,
Morgan. In south central Indiana, Brown and Monroe. In west
central Indiana, Owen.

* WHEN…Until 645 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 339 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen near Ellettsville.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Bloomington, Spencer, Ellettsville, Gosport, Stinesville,
Indiana University, Whitehall, Unionville, Lake Lemon,
Woodville Hills, Yellowwood Lake, Helmsburg, McCormicks Creek
State Park and Beanblossom.
