Flood Warning issued May 7 at 9:16PM CDT until May 8 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Norman OK

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas…
Oklahoma…

Red River near Burkburnett affecting Cotton, Tillman, Jefferson,
Wichita and Clay Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Red River near Burkburnett.

* WHEN…Until tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS…At 9.0 feet, Crop and range lands… oil fields… and
rural roads are affected. Some low-lying areas near the river may
be isolated by high water in side channels. Bottomlands near
Davidson Oklahoma begin to flood several hours before the crest
approaches the Burkburnett area. The flood crest reaches the area
along the river near Taylor Oklahoma several hours later. Cattle
and other property should be relocated to places which are higher
than nearby river banks to avoid being stranded.

– No observed stage was available.
– Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is cresting above flood stage around 9.1
feet. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow
night.
