Special Weather Statement issued May 8 at 5:10PM CDT by NWS Lincoln IL

At 510 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Morrisonville, or 8 miles southwest of Taylorville, moving southwest
at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Morrisonville and Palmer.
