Special Weather Statement issued May 8 at 6:38PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL

At 637 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles southwest of Edgewater to near
Scottsmoor to near Mims. Movement was east at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, Oak Hill, Mims, and Scottsmoor.
