…CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS SUNDAY…
.South to southwesterly winds will be sustained as high as 25 mph
with gusts up to 32 mph on Sunday. This winds combined with RH
values in the 15 to 25 percent range will likely create a critical
fire weather risk on Sunday. Fires could spread out of control
quickly on Sunday due to this conditions. These conditions are
possible again on Monday and Tuesday which could result in
more critical fire weather conditions.
The National Weather Service in Twin Cities/Chanhassen has issued
a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Sunday morning
through Sunday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA…Western Minnesota, Central Minnesota, and South
Central Minnesota.
* WIND…South to southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to
32 mph.
* HUMIDITY…As low as 15 percent.
* IMPACTS…any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
