Special Weather Statement issued May 9 at 6:17PM EDT by NWS Charleston SC

At 617 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Garden City, moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include…
Pooler, Bluffton, Hutchinson Island, Downtown Savannah, Midtown
Savannah, Hunter Army Airfield, Windsor Forest, Wilmington Island,
Savannah International Airport and I-16/I-95 Interchange.

This includes the following highways…
I-16 between mile markers 158 and 168.
I-95 in Georgia between mile markers 99 and 102.
I-516 between mile markers 3 and 9.
