Special Weather Statement issued May 9 at 6:25PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL

At 624 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Howey-In-the-hills to 7 miles south of
Groveland to 15 miles southwest of Lake Louisa. Movement was
northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Apopka, Tavares, Mount Dora, Groveland, and Mascotte.
