Special Weather Statement issued May 9 at 6:32AM EDT by NWS Charleston SC

At 632 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
North Charleston, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Summerville, Goose Creek,
Hanahan, Naval Weapons Station Charleston, Daniel Island,
I-26/I-526 Interchange, Downtown Charleston and West Ashley.

This includes the following highways…
I-26 between mile markers 199 and 221.
I-526 between mile markers 11 and 31.
