White River At Des Arc affecting Prairie County.

For the Lower White River…including Newport, Augusta, Georgetown,
Des Arc, Clarendon…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…White River at Des Arc.

* WHEN…Until Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 21.0 feet, Minor flooding of farmlands within the
levees.
At 24.0 feet, Many acres of farmland flooded within the levees.
Water is backing up Bayou Des Arc and Cypress Bayou.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 25.2 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall to a stage of 24.6
feet by Sunday evening (May 11), but remain in minor flood
stage.
– Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
