Flood Advisory issued May 11 at 4:16AM CDT until May 11 at 7:15AM CDT by NWS Birmingham AL

* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of central Alabama, including the following
counties, Lowndes and Montgomery.

* WHEN…Until 715 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
River or stream flows are elevated. Ponding of water in urban or
other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 416 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches
of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Montgomery, Fort Deposit, Hayneville, White Hall,
Lowndesboro, Davenport, Logan, Lowndes County Airport,
Calhoun, Letohatchee and Manack.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches at pass level, with higher amounts above pass level. * WHERE...The Mountains of Southwestern Montana south of Interstate 90. * WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 9 AM MDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Higher mountain passes will likely become snow covered and slippery. Those recreating in the backcountry should prepare for winter conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Above 8,000 ft, heavy snow accumulations of up to a foot and above is expected in the Madison and Gallatin County Mountains.

Hydrologic Outlook issued May 13 at 1:45PM MDT by NWS Billings MT

ESFBYZ Recent warm temperatures and increased snowmelt have area rivers and streams running high. While decreasing temperatures will bring an end to most of the snowmelt in the mountains, widespread precipitation is expected into Thursday. Snow is expected to fall above 7000 feet, with periods of showers and weak thunderstorms bringing between 0.5 to 2.0 inches of rainfall over the lower elevations and foothills. Rivers and streams will remain high, and additional rises are possible due to the expected precipitation. While widespread flooding of rivers and streams is not expected, localized minor flooding impacts are possible. Please continue to monitor
