Special Weather Statement issued May 11 at 6:25PM CDT by NWS New Orleans LA

At 625 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing waterspouts over marine areas 8 miles southeast
of Shell Beach, or 23 miles northeast of Port Sulphur, moving east at
5 mph.

HAZARD…Waterspouts, winds in excess of 40 mph, and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs
and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor
objects is possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of central St. Bernard
Parish.

Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches at pass level, with higher amounts above pass level. * WHERE...The Mountains of Southwestern Montana south of Interstate 90. * WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 9 AM MDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Higher mountain passes will likely become snow covered and slippery. Those recreating in the backcountry should prepare for winter conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Above 8,000 ft, heavy snow accumulations of up to a foot and above is expected in the Madison and Gallatin County Mountains.

Hydrologic Outlook issued May 13 at 1:45PM MDT by NWS Billings MT

ESFBYZ Recent warm temperatures and increased snowmelt have area rivers and streams running high. While decreasing temperatures will bring an end to most of the snowmelt in the mountains, widespread precipitation is expected into Thursday. Snow is expected to fall above 7000 feet, with periods of showers and weak thunderstorms bringing between 0.5 to 2.0 inches of rainfall over the lower elevations and foothills. Rivers and streams will remain high, and additional rises are possible due to the expected precipitation. While widespread flooding of rivers and streams is not expected, localized minor flooding impacts are possible. Please continue to monitor
