A frontal system from the Bering Sea will bring much cooler air to
the area Monday along with precipitation, which is expected to
begin as rain as early as Monday morning. Snow levels will fall
to around 1500 feet through the day on Monday with snow expected
down to highway level Monday night into Tuesday morning. There is
considerable uncertainty as to how much snow will fall, but up to
6 inches remains possible. The mostly likely spots to see this
would be from Trims Camp south along the Richardson Highway and
between Denali Park and Cantwell along the Parks Highway.
Precipitation will taper off Tuesday night with significant
melting expected Wednesday.
