Special Weather Statement issued May 12 at 6:25PM CDT by NWS Lincoln IL

At 625 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Clinton, moving west at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Blowing dust could briefly reduce
visibility. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include…
Clinton, Wapella, Waynesville, Weldon, Kenney, De Witt, Clinton Power
Station, Weldon Springs State Park, Lane, Hallsville, and Midland
City.
