with gusts up to 40 mph and 2 to 3 foot waves expected. For the
Wind Advisory on Monday, southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts
up to 45 mph and 2 to 4 foot waves expected.
* WHERE…Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
* WHEN…For the Lake Wind Advisory, until 8 PM PDT /8 PM MST/ this
evening. For the Wind Advisory, from 8 AM PDT /8 AM MST/ to 11 PM
PDT /11 PM MST/ Monday.
* IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous
conditions for small craft.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…After a lull in winds and waves Sunday night,
gusty winds and choppy waves are expected again on Monday which
may lead to additional hazardous boating conditions. Please check
the forecast for updates if you have plans on Lake Mead or Lake
Mohave on Monday.
