minimum relative humidity values in the teens will lead to
critical fire weather conditions across northeastern Minnesota and
northwestern Wisconsin this afternoon and evening.
Breezy southerly winds and low relative humidity on Tuesday may
lead to near-critical to critical fire weather conditions.

The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a Fire Weather
Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from
Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA…In Minnesota, Koochiching, North St. Louis,
Northern Cook and Lake, North Itasca, Central St. Louis, North
Cass, South Itasca, South Cass, Crow Wing, Northern Aitkin,
South Aitkin, Carlton and South St. Louis and Pine.
* WINDS…South 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph on Monday.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…As low as 10 percent on Monday.
* IMPACTS…Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become
difficult to control. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
