…RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT TUESDAY FROM 11 AM TO 9 PM FOR THE

…FIRE WEATHER WATCH WEDNESDAY FROM 11 AM TO 9 PM FOR THE WEST
CENTRAL MOUNTAINS, BASIN, AND RANGE, MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY,
AND THE SANDIA AND MANZANO MOUNTAINS ALONG AND SOUTH OF HIGHWAY
60 DUE TO STRONG WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY…

.Strong southwest winds with low humidity will return on Tuesday
and then southwest to west winds with greater coverage of single
digit humidity are expected on Wednesday. Above normal
temperatures Tuesday will begin to trend cooler by Wednesday as
winds shift more out of the west. The threat for rapid fire spread
will be focused mainly along and south of the U.S. Highway 60
corridor where recent rainfall was much lighter and more spotty.
Greenup and greater fuel moisture from recent rain and snow along
and north of U.S. Highway 60 will help to mitigate the threat for
rapid fire spread.

* AREA AND TIMING…West Central Mountains (Zone 105) Tuesday and
Wednesday from 11 AM to 9 PM.

* 20 FOOT WINDS…For Tuesday, southwest to west 25 to 40 mph with
gusts up to 50 mph. For Wednesday, west 20 to 30 mph with gusts
up to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…For Tuesday, 9 to 14 percent. For Wednesday,
8 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS…Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
