issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Maryland…

Georges Creek at Westernport affecting Allegany County.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring. This approaches the flood
of record.

* WHERE…Georges Creek at Westernport.

* WHEN…From this afternoon until further notice.

* IMPACTS…At 12.0 feet, Numerous buildings and roads in the town
of Westernport, and points upstream, are flooded. Water reaches
both railroad bridges upstream of Westernport, as well as multiple
bridges in Westernport.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 3:45 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 12.0 feet, or 4.0 feet
above flood stage.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 3:45 PM EDT Tuesday was 12.0 feet.
– Forecast…No forecast is available for this location.
– Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
