Potomac River at Point of Rocks affecting Western Loudoun and
Frederick MD zones.

Potomac River at Little Falls affecting Central and Southeast
Montgomery and Fairfax Counties.

Potomac River at Harpers Ferry affecting Washington and Jefferson
Counties.

Shenandoah River at Millville affecting Clarke, Jefferson and
Warren Counties.

South Branch Potomac River near Springfield affecting Hardy and
Hampshire Counties.

…The Flood Watch is extended for the following rivers in
Virginia…Maryland…

Potomac River at Edwards Ferry affecting Northwest Montgomery,
Western Loudoun and Eastern Loudoun zones.

For the Potomac River…including Paw Paw, Hancock, Shepherdstown,
Harpers Ferry, Point of Rocks, Edwards Ferry, Little Falls…
flooding is possible.
For the Shenandoah River…including Millville…flooding is
possible.

* WHAT…Flooding is possible.

* WHERE…Potomac River at Harpers Ferry.

* WHEN…From Thursday afternoon to tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS…At 18.0 feet, Due to backwater effects on the Shenandoah
River, floodwaters cover much of the Hamilton Street area of
historic Harpers Ferry, and approach the employee parking lot.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:45 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 3.7 feet, or 14.3 feet
below flood stage.
– Forecast…Flood stage may be reached early tomorrow
afternoon.
– Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
