At 1208 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles west of Ansonville, or 15 miles northwest of Wadesboro, moving
northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Albemarle, Badin Lake, Ansonville, Norwood, Badin, Morrow Mountain
State Park, and Lake Tillery.

The lower portion of Johnson Road near Herndon is also flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 945 AM EDT Thursday, the stage was 6.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 6.7 feet Friday evening. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday afternoon. - Flood stage is 6.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ogeechee River near Eden. * WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, water encroaches on some homes along Dashers Landing Road and Yarbrough Landing Road. Davis Landing Road also becomes impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 945 AM EDT Thursday, the stage was 10.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 11.9 feet Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
