* WHEN…Until 4 PM EDT Friday. Tidal fluctuations will likely be
overcome by freshwater flooding, with an extended period of
moderate flooding forecast at Georgetown.
* IMPACTS…The Washington Harbour boardwalk will be covered.
Low lying areas near Fletcher’s Boathouse will be flooded.
More than a third of Roosevelt Island will be inundated. Rock
Creek will experience backwater flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Tides one and a half to two feet above
normal. The next high tide at Washington Channel is at 11:10 PM
and 11:00 AM.
