Virginia…

Cacapon River near Great Cacapon affecting Morgan County.

For the Cacapon River…including Great Cacapon…Minor flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Cacapon River near Great Cacapon.

* WHEN…Until early Friday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 12.0 feet, Running Waters Way begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:30 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 11.9 feet, or 2.9
feet above flood stage.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:30 PM EDT Wednesday was 14.1 feet.
– Forecast…The river will fall to flood stage tomorrow
morning. It will then rise to 9.7 feet early tomorrow
afternoon. It will fall below flood stage tomorrow evening to
6.4 feet Friday morning. It will then rise to 8.1 feet Friday
evening. It will fall to 5.7 feet early Saturday afternoon
then rise again.
– Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
