* WHEN…Until 1000 AM AST.
* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be
passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. It
will take several hours for all the water from these storms to
work through local drainage systems in urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 601 AM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. USGS river
sensor indicate that Rio Blanco has exceeded minor flood
stage, above 9 feet. Flooding is ongoing in the warned area,
with flood waters affecting portions of roads PR-191 and
PR-31, near intersections with road PR-3 and Highway PR-53.
Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in
the warned area.
